​WHAT IS BEREAN?​

Bereans were the inhabitants of the ancient city of Berea, also known in the Bible as Beroea and now known as Veria. According to the Acts 17:11, Paul of Tarsus and Silas preached at Berea, and the inhabitants "eagerly examined the scriptures every day to see whether these things were so," and many of them believed.

 

Today being called or referred to as a Berean should be a compliment to any true Christian. By definition it would define us as people who have a high standard that can only be achieved through using the Word of God itself as the measuring stick.
